The Crowds was the second crowdsourced library coordinated by Mike Niederquell at Audible Worlds and released by November 2014.
The aim of this library was to capture crowds, walla or large groups of people from each recordist local region. Around 100 recordists from different locations around the world participated in the library.
I contributed to the initiative with recordings from Madrid's city center, Spain. It is about 4 files, 3 to 5 minutes long and recorded in M/S at 24 bit/96 kHz with a Sennheiser MKH 30/8040 and MKH30/8050 set ups into a Sound Devices 702.
Takes 1 to 3 on the exhibition line recording were taken at ground level, on different perspectives, being most of the people in spaces that would be considered neither exterior nor interior. The shop inaguration recording was shoot from above the crowd, in an exterior location.
